Over the past couple of months we’ve been mulling over an idea. In between the great work we’ve been doing for all our clients, our creative types have been thinking about changing our brand. The obvious question we asked ourselves is why?
Rocket has been on an incredible journey in the last three years, and it just kind of felt right. Now we know that doesn’t sound like a well considered strategic response, but common sense and gut feeling still count for a lot.
With all the branding and marketing skills Rocket has to hand we’ve obviously done our home work, consulted clients, gathered feedback and thought through some very solid reasons for doing this. Thankfully this careful work supported the feeling that the time was right.
Our old brand was created when Rocket Science was run from a kitchen table in an unassuming Sheffield semi - things have changed a hell of a lot! We have now settled into our own design studio, expanded the workforce by 400% and grown turnover even more.
We have been on a really exciting journey and needed a brand that better expressed who we are today and who we want to be tomorrow. So how does our new brand do this?
We started very simply and thought about who we are and what we do that’s different. We eventually summed this up with the phrase ‘creativity distilled’. This says what we do; all things creative, as well as captures how we do it; boiled down, pure and totally concentrated.
Clients love the way Rocket offers expertise without the downsides that often come with design, marketing and web services. We've done away with frustrating hierarchies, management structures, the need for complex charging and we will never, ever indulge in jargon.
Everything else then began to fall into place, with our new brand reflecting our approach. We decided to evolve into Rocket and design a new identity around our idea. So…here we are with our creativity distilled.
