What's been going on?
By Nick on 7 Mar 08
It's been a busy fortnight here at Rocket. Over the last couple of weeks...
- we survived without Andy for a week while he was off snowboarding
- Ian's Facebook group "Graphic Designers Who Like George Lamb" almost doubled in size to 26 members
- Simon + Nick hung out with the cool creatives of Sheffield, at the Utopia event at the Millenium Galleries
- Carl's been designing a massive set of icons for an innovative new piece of software
- we all enjoyed delicious (and huge) plates of Chinese food on Friday lunchtime at the Noodle Inn
- we designed pop-up banners and posters for the University of Sheffield, and leaflets for the University of York
- we started consulting on the redesign of a major e-commerce site
- we found out our proposal for the BBC Innovation Labs has been selected, and we're going to be spending a week developing the idea before pitching it to commissioners
- we acquired a stylish old Chesterfield suite to go in The Distillery (our creative break-out space)
- we finally got the office wireless network working again
- the meeting room computer went (in technical terms) kaput
