Yes it's happened - we've fallen in love with the Duchess. No she's not a rich old lady that smells faintly of lavender and brandy; the Duchess is a brand spanking new music venue in York.

Rocket has designed and developed their new website and we simply love it. It looks contemporary, without trying too hard to be hip with the kids, and it's jam packed full of great content. It's simply got everything you could possibly want.

We love the website's shiny slidey menus, the bold simplicity of its colours and gradients. But what really brings things to life is the content. The website is a great example of how much a design relies on great content to make it work. The photography, the band write-ups, the news stories just work so well together. It's also designed to gather users' content too - allowing them to submit their photos and comments after a gig. 

It looks as if Rocket aren't the only ones to be smitten with the old girl. The site have received over 2000 visitors in its first week, and the venue itself opens with their first gig on Thursday 3rd July.
