Despite living in tough economic times, Marks and Spencers are investing heavily in new stores. They may be one of the country's oldest retailers but they continue to be at the cutting edge of retail design and innovation.
M&S wanted to show off the latest interior design and concepts created by architects Darnton EGS at their international brand conference - but the store was being fitted out in Bury, and the conference was in London.
In association with Panoptics, we photographed key areas of the store using high resolution 360° imaging. We linked them together into a 3D virtual tour of the store, which was operated by the presenter using a Microsoft Surface to navigate around the shop, transporting the audience to show them key features of the design and fittings.
With the new store only being stocked a few days before the conference we had to work quickly to turn the job around in time - but we delivered on time, and to the acclaim of the architects, and M&S executives.
