The Mercury Centre website design
The Mercury Centre in a spin-off from the University of Sheffield. It offers access to the latest innovative manufacturing technology - literally at the forefront of creating intricate mechanical parts from cutting edge materials using 3D printing technology. Their facilities are kitted out with technology ranging from the world's most powerful microscope to machines which achieve "Spark plasma sintering" - which sounds like something straight from a sci-fi film.
Their work is used by industries ranging from Formula 1 teams producing lighter, stronger car parts, to biomedical companies producing devices that can be implanted in the human body, and has recently been featured in Wired magazine.
As well as creating the brand, we designed and built a website which introduces and positions the newly launched organisation, as well as showing off some of the fantastic items they can produce.
